Divers Ecological Society

Divers Ecology volunteers consists of Divers, Boaters, Students and Shore support personnel working together both in the Office, on the Sound, to identify areas of fertile marine growth and map them into our database. Subsequent “on site” visits with divers using  our dive scooters and camera arrays, and towed divers, detail the exact extents of marine habitat. The area is then mapped for monitoring of growth trends using GPS and Video.  The data gathered during the research phase is compiled in Excel format and made available for scientific study as each site is complete and shifted to the monitor phase.
